Your obviously going to get way more if you sell it privately.
They aint going to pay good money as they got to make a profit.
As for them knocking the price down, im sure they do it eveytime as the online price is pretty generic ( no one would give a 100% price without seeing the car)
Funny to go on there and see the prices they say tho.

I think there like a pawn brooker without the chance to buy back, prying on people who need money fast,if there part of carcraft then yes looking for people who can't get finance then over charging and buying back via we buy any car when unable to keep up with the payments.
Its illeagal to sell a car if it's on finance so they wouldnt be able to buy it unless they cleared the finance, and they ain't going to do that.

That's what I mean buying and settling the finance at a knock down price. we buy any car would carry out HPI checks like any other dealer.
If I was selling I won't be knocked down by hundreds I'd walk away sounds like there conning people out of their cars and money!!

Katie here from webuyanycar. Hope you don't mind me swinging by just wanted to offer a bit of advice.
Our valuations are based on a number of factors. We ask you to supply information on the condition, age and mileage of your car, as well as factoring in the current market place. When you attend an appointment our buyer will ask you to accompany them while they inspect your car. If the details of your vehicle differ from those initially supplied to us by yourself, it can sometimes mean we need to adjust our valuation.
What we offer as a business is a service for our customers who simply don't want the hassle of selling privately. If you are trying to achieve the highest possible value for your car and don't mind paying for and placing adverts, arranging viewings and taking people out for test drives etc., it might be worth trying to sell it privately if you can.
Just a few other things, we are no longer connected to CarCraft we are a separate company. Also we can buy cars with finance on them; please check out our FAQ's for more info on this.
We offer a free valuation service to a wide variety of customers. Remember you are under no obligation to accept our offer if it isn't what you wanted. It's all about having the choice to sell your car the way you want too.
Phew that was a long post, hope this helps clarify a few things, let me know if you have any other questions,
Katie

LOL…. cracking!!! That answered that…. Katie, could you explain why classic cars are not reflective of their true market value please? For example, satans_creation's car is worth far more than the £50 quoted :dontknow:
It's the same if you dont have an agreed value with your insurance they wanted to write my cabby off and offered £700 8O
stick to selling on here where folks know what they want and what price Mk1s are worth failing that ebay or pistonheads
webuyanycar.com isn't the place to sell a classic car………

The company don't have enough resources in the market to correctly value any car that wasn't made in the last few years, I have not personally dealt with them, but a few friends and family members have.
Just my two-pence, but I personally wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

They will offer less than half its true value in order to make money.
I honestly cant beleive people sell there car with them.
It doesnt cost that much to advertise really.
Cleaning the car will take half a day so no problem.
Test drives dont last long or cost much.
Better to advertise and get its true value, might just take a bit longer.
One thing I would like to know is…. How can you buy a car thats got finance on it unless your clearing the finance??
Obviously if you dont clear it then the owner still owes money, therefore breaking the law.
