Any MOT testers on here?

If so whats the law regarding rear number plate lights? can i use 1 or does it need to be a twin?

If you convert it to 1 that shines over the middle of the plate would pass it. Seen it done a few times on various cars

ive also seen single's on various cars, Bert should be able to confirm?

Sorry I mean 2 as in twin bulb? I want to run 1 small led one on the bogey but not sure if it will be ok?

Would need to check inspection manual but im sure as long as it illuminates and shines on the plate thats about it. Will check wording when i have 5 mins

Ok reason for rejection are
Does not illuminate simultaneously with position lights

Not fitted

Insecure

With any lamp not working

Not illuminating the rear plate

Shows white light to rear.


So as long as its not one of them your fine

You could fit your number plate vertically !!!
