Anti Freeze

Hi,

Ime drainging the coolant for some fresh antifreeze. How much anit Freeze do i put in the system?

Hi,if i were you i would drain it out,refill with water and run it until fan cuts in,drain it off again,then use glysatin antifreeze (longlife) like the new vw's,G12 as its called by vw,it will last longer and stops the head and water pump oxidising.

DO NOT mix the old blue stuff with glysatin,it will turn jelly and brown!!!!

Yo tommo,cheers for asking,im ok bert,electric blanket on low all night,packet of anti inflamation tablets and no s.. and a bowketts saussage baguette this morning delivered by my mate on his way to his mrs house!
Be ok now,take it easy for a few days,1000 litres of red diesel coming tomorrow morning for the heater so it will be warm on the old spine,mk1 golf will run on red to match the colour of the paint  :wink:
