And the nomination of best thread award goes to.............

I thought we could vote on the most interesting thread………..some of the conversations on here are better than watching the 'soap awards'  - personally , i'm opting for the 'girls cleavage top' thread - but then again my view may change when i'm sober

The ?4544 Campaign thread is pretty good. It had a lot of people standing on their soap box, then once they'd said their point, taking a more measured view, then maybe a couple of people 'sitting on their tails' once the winner of the auction joined in!

It was a good debate of how troublesome eBay can be when buying a 22 year old car; and how different people set their own 'definition' of what's perfect, or not, for them.

I'd have to say that the chatty threads have caused a lot of hot air, but not much else.

I hink Buying a 22 year old car - is like making the same decision as dating a 22 year old gal/bloke!!!!!  how reliable will they be - will they break down at the first hurdle (although most likely they won't need any body work doin!!!!  unlike myslef   ) - but I have plenty of expericence of body work so if anybody needs any -(car wise) give us a shout - my services will be free to those who live nearby!!!!!

I'd be interested to know about your bodywork experience. I've suggested a section on welding is added to the "knowledge base" area - but my welding skills are distinctly amateur and I've doubts I'm always doing it right!

You may as well poke it, because:

1. If you don't, the MoT tester will
2. If you're driving around in a structurally weak car, and are involved in a crash, its not going to protect you in the way designed.
3. If you're pulled over by the police for anything, they are free to look at the car and if they suspect its unsafe, can declare it unroadworthy there & then. This would lead to high costs to recover it back, or it being crushed if you don't pay up!
