Am I bang out of order?

Ok, I have had a few items for sale recently, one item was very popular and I had lots of enquiries about it ,I replied to all of them quoting the same price,one person jumped at the price and bought said item,I now have emails from one of the people who enquired saying that I am bang out of order and should of let him know I was going to sell it.

I had not promised item to this person , in fact he did not reply to my email about price ,so am I to guess that he wanted it and just could'nt be bothered to reply :dontknow:

Whereas person who did buy it replied straight away asking for paypal details and then paid  

sounds a bit petty to me.  but no, ur not bang out of order.  

i have placed my vote. it speaks for its self.

If anything, its worse to promise to buy something then keep the seller hanging on for a deposit/payment, etc.

sounds fair enough if they didn't reply after you had given them a price, then you presume they are not interested, unless you have special mind reading powers ………………

i used to but years of being with missus changing her mind, it went into over-drive and blew.

You've done absolutely nothing wrong mate, it's just someone throwing there toys out the pram cos they missed a bargain.

I generally go by the first come first served principle, if you agree to buy something then you should be given a little time to secure a deposit (24hrs or something)… failing that method, then Deposit secures!

can`t see what you have done wrong myself mate, if he really wanted the said item he would of replied and paid for the item, or arranged to come and pick it up.

At the end of the day you are selling something so until someone passes money accross your palm ( or paypal account ) then in my eyes it still for sale.

its first come first serve mate, thats the principle i work on, if someone asks you for a price and doesnt get back to you, your not guna chase them are you?? not if you have got other loads of ppl interested anyway!! ur not out of order mate, there just throwing there toys out of the pram.

If someone wanted something badly enough, surely they would've got back to you quick as so they didn't miss out???
