All registers now online

As above folks! I have added the chassis codes fields in for the series 1 ad 2 registers, and an extra field 'Special' for the Cabriolets to track the special editions.

I could only think of 'Coco','Quartet','Rivage' and 'Sportsline' - can anyone think of any others?

Register owners- I will soon set up the admin screens so you can update the registers with owner changes, mileage, condition etc.. I will put a note in the register description with your contact PM there so people know how to get hold of you.

Cheers,

Drew.

Drew, I've just received some copies of brochures from VAG at Milton Keynes, and among them are two brochures, dated May '83 and November '85 which specifically detail the 'All White' and a very limited number of 'All Black (metallic paint)' limited edition GTi Cabrio's……..?????
Now I'm getting confused…

I knew there were some others… well done. I remember them, they came out before the 'quartet'. I shall modify the db!

you've got Coco Chanel, I though they were one and same as the triple whites?

Got the Clipper as a 'model' rather than a 'special'.

Offer noted too, we'll see how Simon gets on when it gets busy!

Manic,
Thanks for the offer of help with the series 2 DB. It will be interesting to see how big the DB becomes. If it gets to busy or out of hand a second administrator will be useful

How about the Acapulco, Azur, Bel Air, Classicline, Coast, Etienne Aigner, Fashionline, Genesis, Havanna, Toscana, and Youngline?

These were mostly for the German market.

Hmmm… are we an international club then?  8)

I only had the UK stuff in mind originally, but I guess we could cover the whole world eventually. (cue evil laugh)

Do we need to get so complicated?
Unless there is a definitive way of telling what 'special edition' the car is, and unless the owner had the car from new, and the car has not been resprayed or 'messed about with', and all original decals are still present, how would we know?
For exmple, my GTi Cabrio was all white - colour coded bumpers, mirrors etc, but it is not the 'All White' model as the carpet is not correct, and the seats have not got the correct stripe in the fabric insert and the bolsters are fabric,….but at first I thought it MIGHT have been the 'All White' model (apart from the fact that it's an '87 model - too late ?????).

And now I've 'played' with it and put black bumpers on…..and 'P' slots……..

I think that including even the 'All White' and 'All black' is taking it a bit too far……
My opinion anyway….for what it's worth.

I was just answering the question. When you enter your car in the register you have to enter the Special Edition and Country. Hence the need for international Special Editions.
