A bit more info on the VW Classic Parts Deal - Prices etc

Hi Guys,

Our aim in partnership with VW Classic is to make parts more accessible to enthusiasts and traders throughout the UK and Ireland.

Regarding prices for VW Classic Parts there will not be any large price increase as the policy of VW Classic is to have a continuity of prices throughout Europe.

Our prices will be in Pounds not Euros and the exchange rate we use is better than if you are transferring money.

You will save the delivery from Germany because this is our cost.

Delivery in the UK will be free over  £50.00 if you purchase on line and free if the order is over £250 over the phone.

If you have an enquiry you can call us direct and we will find the correct part for you.

We are linked to Classic so we have all the up to date information.

If you are a club member or a trader you will automatically get your discount even if you only buy one classic part.

If there is a problem with a part you only have to send it to us and not back to Germany. If it is our mistake then we pay the cost of shipping and we will get the correct part for you from Germany, free of charge.

Any other queries, please don't hesitate to drop me a PM, give us a call, or ask on here.

Cheers,

James

This is brilliant news James it really is!

I was wondering tho, as above really if you are going to be listing the parts available on your website? From my experience of dealing with VW classic parts it is very difficult to now what they do do and what they don't.  I imagine if you did list everything tho it would be alot of extra stuff as im sure they produce quite a bit?

Cheers

Hands up I've never visited your site but looking at what you currently do I'll be visiting more often when the need arises… just spent ages trying to get accelerator cable today… Volkswagen say obsolete, my normal motor vendor can't get them and got some off of GSF in the end which was good as I got my discount… Only took me three or four clicks of the mouse online on your site  :banghead: ….

The panels look like a big thing for us mk1 boys!!  Do you do/have you thought of doing wiring looms?  My mk1 has been butchered and now has no front drivers side indicators   … its going to take me ages to trace wires and find the problem…. there are enough junction boxes and scotch tape under there to fill … well…. fill something really big  :dontknow: .  Even my good nick silver gti has this… Instead of trawling through all the wires (mixed colours and everything) I'd rather replace the lot with a few kits…..

Any thoughts?

We do offer wiring looms for Beetles/Buses etc through our parent company (VWH) obviously these are a fair bit more basic than Golf looms, but it's something we could look into, we have a good record on producing what our customers ask for, i.e. clear rear screens for Mk2's (no heater elements), several exclusive to us Goodridge brakeline sets, OE style Mk2 stainless back boxes, granted a lot of that is Mk2 stuff, but if you guys tell us what you're after, we'll help out where we can, I myself run a Mk1 and a Mk2, and we've got 2 other Mk1's on the fleet, as well as 3 or 4 Mk2's so we are genuine enthusiasts.

Thanks Lee, it's always good to hear compliments, and I'm glad my reputation has got around! You know we have a few NOS Genuine Mk1 left hand front wings in stock at the moment?

I'd love new looms too. I've had my engine loom spliced and G60'd and it looks nice and new but my other loom that goes in the bay, ie lights, indicators etc etc is rank so don't want to reuse it, but cant find a nice looking newish one!

James im always banging on about how good you guys are! It stands out especially when other vendors fall short of the mark.  I try and buy all my parts from either BBT or AVS and then if I can't find it I go elsewhere.

Yea I seen the wings, there like £107 tho arn't they? and then I need to find a drivers too.  I was going to wait and see if you started doing new ones in pairs.

ill 3rd looms here, if you started doing them id buy all new looms for sure.  The s1 looms are really thin on the ground now…

i think they're about that price, I don't know whether VW will be reproducing them or not to be honest, but it's something we'd like them to do.

The ones we're offering now we tracked down in a warehouse in the US!

This is really good news for the club.

More companies sourcing and selling the parts for the cars means we'll all be able to keep going longer!!!

Thanks for keeping us posted James.
