86/87 cc cab

hi just a question for everyone for my own satisfaction, i've been around golf mk1's since i was 15 (18 years ago) and owned my 1st mk1 at 16, and converted it to a 1.6 gti at 17. i've owned more mk1 tin tops and rag tops than i can recall, my twin bro has had almost as many!!
 but anyway straying from the point here, can anyone tell me and prove it please, what does the cc stand for on the 86/87 cabbies, mine was white with blue cc roof and seats and stickers on rear quarters and boot. i was lead to belive it was a coco channel model and had a bottle of perfume included when it was new, however looking through the forum, and on evilbay i have seen Christams Collection and Country Club! which is it? or are they all write? does anyone have proof of the name? or is it simply a cc and doesn't stand for anything??
your thoughts and comments please.

thats what i thought but wanted to be clear, i sold mine a good 5 years back, but i've never been 100% sure of the model. until now that is!

i always thought it was a coco channel but now i believe its a christmas cab

im sure dub76 got hold of the original sales booklet which staed this

i could be wrong as far as i concerned white cabs are hair dressers cars

Im not sure on the answer to this, when you phone up insurance and it brings up your details, it says its a "CC Cab", not specifing what the CC is.

I didnt think the Coco Chanel logo is the same as the one on my car - the Coco Chanel one is like this

Id much prefer it to be coco chanel! perhaps someone at a vw dealers would know?

Well……… Mine has been debated about too.. mine is saphire mettalic with the CC interior! many times ive been told that the CC's were all white. However the ORIGINAL dealer sticker (in the boot & logbook) have a long list of optional extras  :dontknow:  which i havent seen on others. I have spoke to VW and been informed that "it was possible to spec to your standard" so………….

Christmas Collection is also mentioned. :mrgreen:

i just rang vw and they said although my car comes up on their computer, its too old to say the spec and he didnt personally know what cc stood for - perhaps il write to them

CC stands for Christmas Cabriolet, but VW actually called it the "Lady Charme" CC edition. I think in the UK folks got the logo confused with that of Coco Chanel, even though they are clearly different. Let's face it Coco Chanel would hardly put there name to a car with the wrong logo!

In fact there were 3 special editions produced to celebrate summer festivals:

"Lady Sunshine" - Alpine White exterior paint, white plastic trim and door panels, white hood, white seat trim, black carpet, Zandvoort 5.5"x13" alloys

"Mister Moon" - Helios Blue Metallic exterior paint, Helios Blue plastic trim and Mauritius blue door panels, Atoll blue hood, Mauritius blue seat trim, Mauritius blue carpet, Avus (coded Helios Blue) 6"x14" alloys

"Lady Charme" - Alpine White exterior paint, white plastic trim and blue CC door panels, blue CC hood, blue CC headlining and sunvisors, blue CC seat trim, Mauritius blue carpet, Avus (coded Alpine White) 6"x14" alloys, Gamma radio

Well that makes it even more of a girls car - perhaps husband will let me drive it occassionally now!!

hey there,i hav got coco channel and i cant seem to find anythink about them,i hav searched high and low on the net and cant find a thing? i think cc stands for chrismas cabroilet, this was because they wer built around december in 1985/86
