20 years ago this week:

I passed my test and the first car I drove was my mates mum's red A reg 5dr 1300 GLS mk1. I now drive a red A reg 5dr 1300 mk1. Hmm…. Deja vue

Both car and mum are long gone, but the driving style hasn't changed much.

 Twenty years a go this week i drove a VW Santana 2.2 .  Was restoring a Mk1 Mini and my Wife looked young  

This week She nagged me about the Golf MK4 Cabriolet [what do i want to do with it ] , the other Mk1 shell i have [when are you going to get rid of it ] and asked about 'why you have rebuilt that Mk1 but don't like using it the wet'  .

I?d have been driving around in my 1st car, a ?50 10year old Renault 5 with Fred Flintstone floors or it?s about the time I got into VW by getting a 1980 MK1 1600 Diesel Jetta. 20 years later I?m sometimes driving around in a 1600 Diesel Caddy.

20 years ago this week, i was probably scrawling my first mk1 at nursery.

20 years ago this week I was playing in my sand pit, without a care in the world

For me, 20 years ago would make me 10yrs old, so would have been busy building ramps for my BMX and promptly falling off and hurting myself, possibly meaning another trip to A&E for my mum!  :mrgreen:

s allright for you 20 yrs ago i had a grifter, too damn heavy for jumping like my mates on theyre bmx s now ive got a cab , so nothing much has changed really

20 years ago i had a red and orange ol skool Chopper.
(Bust my nose wide open on the evil machine and was unconscious in a pool of my own blood. Which is nice).
Old man's mate had a green GTI and I've loved them ever since.

I was working for a grocery distrubutor in a fridge & freezer. It was seen as the place for trouble makers within the warehouse. Made it out from time to time but always found myself back in there!!

Driving a red Mini with 8 spoke wide Wellers, small leather steering wheel. Very flash at the time.

20 years ago I'd have been 10, which means………I had a Boxer Ltd edition bike (Yellow & blue). I was probaly getting excited about the 86' World Cup and heavily into collecting Panini stickers…. I would have spent hours on me Speccy and building Dens with me mates.

I'd have been wearing a cool pair of Farahs, complimented with some Adidas Kick, a slazenger V neck and my Nike Windbreaker. Cooooooool!

I want it to be 1986 again!

Still wear most of this sort of stuff today……always loved stuff from this era……including the cars!!
