Welder/bodyshop wanted in Berkshire?
I've recently managed to get hold of a small light rear panel from eBay, wondering if anyone had any recommendations of a welder / bodyshop in the Berkshire area that would be able to do the swop onto my '82 CL? Or if there is anyone local on the forum with the right kit that would be happy to do this (and be paid of course).

Don't know what there rates would be like but you could try Jamie @ J Tech which is Reading way http://www.jtechautomotive.co.uk/ or Tony @ Bodytone in Wokingham Car Body Repairs in Bracknell, Accident Repairs in Wokingham both places the owners have mk1's.

What part of Berkshire are you in?

Cheers for the recommendations - will check them out.
I'm over in Langley but live in South London during the week. A mate of mine (drives a brown Mk1) went to one of your monthly meets last year. Once mine is up and running I'll have to pop along.

You might find it cheaper at a bodyshop closer to you.
Don't let not having your mk1 on the road stop you from dropping in on a meet. Seeing that at the winter meets we spend most of the time in the pub
Is this yours mates car?

Mine was advertised on eBay last year, didn't sell but managed to do a deal offline. Had been sat on his driveway for a couple of years, now sitting in my garage for 9 months! Done a couple of easy interior jobs and slowly collecting the other bits and pieces I need. Plan is to get it MOT'd soonish and then start with the work - lowered, rear panel and wheels for the moment.

That's the idea get it MOTed & get out & drive it
& your mate car looks very nice, try & get him back down to a meet too.

Are you looking to have it painted as well, or do you just want someone to weld it for you? I know a guy who's a great welder/fabricator but doesn't do paint. Based near Bracknell/Binfield

At the moment probably just welded, know a sprayer who I may be able to convince to do a respray. Best quote I've had for the welding work is £350 - could you pm me the details of your mate and I'll give him a shout for a price.
