Wanted: Good VW Specialist, Hampshire/Surrey

Hi Guys,

The accelerator pedal has gone on my Rivage while hubby was driving on the motorway!

We are wondering if there are any good garages around the East Hants/Surrey area that we can have the car towed to?

Any help much appreciated!

Hi, you will probably find that a rubber bush has disintegrated / disappeared and the cable detached at the throttle pedal and just needs replacing.

You should be able to get one from VW, GSF, Eurocarparts, ebay.

They have been looking after my Mk1 for years now.

Definitely know their stuff. owned lots of VW's in their time so have the knowledge and only use genuine parts.

yep, that must be it.. the rubber bush on the pedal where the cable attaches..

and if you're asking about Hampshire specialist.. Right… all about THE PHIRM!!!!!

went there last year for suspension probs..  they defo know their stuff.. highy recommended.. is pricey but worth it!

i think they are in connection with the magazine PERFORMANCE VW. their pics always on the back ans alot of cars are from there…
