Vw engine specialist in South Wales/ bristol area

Hi guys
I'm starting to overhaul my 1.8 gti and I was wondering if anyone has any decent garages they use for engine rebuilds in the South Wales/ Bristol areas?

Although they mainly focus on watercooled, heard MaD in kingswood are good. Take my car to AudiVolks in keynesham whom Mad recommended and they are great.

Thanks man ill look into it… It'll be a while before I get it done though as I'm saving for the body work to get done first and the engine is pretty much the last thing on the list but hopefully it won't be too long .

I take mine to Jon Wilding here in Abergavenny - VW Audi specialist and all round decent bloke! He's got a lot of experience with classic VW's and has been extremely sympathetic with mine    Let me know if you'd like his details (although you can find him on Yell).

Sounds great, although I'm having 'part replacement issues' at the moment so can't go anywhere for the time being  

Sweet cheers guys… I wont be going for a drive in it any time soon its been parked up for over 2 years before I got it and another year since then so its a nut and bolt jobby I think … ive still not got round to taking the engine out yet due to not having anywhere to keep it while I figure out what I want to do to it plus ive just got back off holiday so sorting the money out for it isnt going well :/. But itll hopefully get started on this winter. And yea im from South Wales.

Im in the chepstow area but the car is actually in oxford due to me working away in the raf. I really appreciate the offer cause I could do with a hand but until ive got somewhere to put it itll be staying put .
