hiya all.  please can you help, looking for a specialist in .mk1 golf to carry out electrical engine and body work in Preston Lancashire

What work exactly do you need completing?

Engine - service stuff etc
Electrical - minor faults
Bodywork - scratches

Or is it engine transplant, re wiring and a full rub down and spray???

engine service, electrical wiring needs updating. interior is a mess which US biggest worry.
needs tidings as carpets are not placed. door cards are missing ssvto the window winners.

gear stick seems ti have a lit of play.

For service, gear linkage and electrical issues I've used Bob at School Lane Service Station 01772 336938. He's an air cooled fella but I've used him for 10 years and he's ok.

The interior is pretty straight forward to get sorted with a bit of time and effort.

Is the car a runner or off the road?

hasn't been running for a year now and the battery is dead. need to get hold of a battery first.
