mk1 golf gti needing tlc

I have a campaign edition mk 1 golf gti in mars red (ew chassis no). The fan has ceased to work on looking under the bonnet there was an obvious clip and this turned the fan on but it just stays on EVEN WHEN CAR IS LEFT, WHEN I GOT THE CAR LAST YEAR FAN CAME ON AND OFF AND EVEN STAYED ON TO COOL DOWN ENGINE AFTER HARD USE. Need a vw mk1 specialiast in west yorks/lancs area neAR ROCHDALE/HALIFAX OR BURNLEY
