Just bought my first car... a golf mk1 cabriolet! :D

Hello everybody! My first time here :)

I have always loved the golf mk1.. it was my favourite matchbox car when I was little..

I've had my driving license for 14 years, moved out of central London last year so finally have the chance to own my own car… so I went out yesterday and bought a golf mk1 cabriolet! :)

It has 53,000 miles on the clock, and one owner from new :D

Will post a pic as soon as I can work out how to upload it from my iphone :P

spanku… its all original apparently, garaged kept all its life, nothing has been refurbished, one owner from new, 52,899 miles  :)I'm almost afraid to drive it! lol

would it be a sin for me to change the colour of it?

In a word YES. Bodywork looks good to me from the pics. Leave it as it is for now, just my opinion of course mate :)

I'm with Alex, don't mess with it.
If she's really totally original and you start to mess with it you can end up spending lots and ultimately losing bucket loads on the value.!!!  O_o

She looks really nice, so keep her that and enjoy!

Nice cabby you got mate nice to have it so origional!
Our cars were seperated at birth i think… same colour,
same wheels, same interior ;)
