Good bodyshop / repair place in SE London / Kent?
I have to come clean and admit this is for the accident damage to my Mk1 MX-5, but bodywork is generally bodywork and I have just heard that it looks like the insurance company won't write it off. They have estimated repairs to be in the region of ?2700, so should be enough to get a quality job done.
If I can find a good place then I would be tempted to also consider them for a full respray on the Campaign in a year or two.
I am looking for a place that would have an alignment jig for checking the chassis - should most professional bodyshops have one of these, or is it something only the larger places have?
Really appreciate any help on this as I want to try and get the MX-5 back on the road as soon as possible.
Cheers,
Chris

This would be an an insurance job, so hoping someon will take it on that can do a good job. Want to have the chassis alignment checked as well though just in case.

A real unlucky one, (honest), blind 90 degree bend, parked cars on both sides, greasy road. Sods law we both come round the corner at the same time and there is only space for one car….. <crunch>… I thought technically speaking he was more over my side of the road than I was on his, but no witnesses so it'll almost certainly be a 50-50 claim, so I can kiss goodbye to the NCB for a few years
The road is local to me and I've driven it hundreds of times over the years with no problems…. sigh. Only had the five for 4 days by that time so a bit gutted really. Just want to get it repaired and back on the road again. Luckily my excess is only ?100.
So far Footman James have been pretty good. If this works out OK and my premiums don't skyrocket too much next year I will stay with them.
