Gearbox or VW specialist in MANCHESTER

Need help setting and aligning my gear linkages, had the engine out week before last to change clutch first time its moved for 26 yrs and once back will not select 1st goes into third instead, pretty certain i`ve  narrowed it down to being the linkages and the alignment of them, i come to this conclusion after ruling every other possibility out and speakin to a few different people who have a good knowledge of the mk1 and everything leads to the linkages
