GARAGES BLAHHHHH!!!!!

Hi peps, hoping some1 can help???  Took her in last week to have rear wheel bearings replaced, she came back with the Clifford trashed and a phat scratch along the passenger side and gouges on my alloys, gutted!!!!!  :cry:  1 week and 85 miles later they're just as bad, don't think he's even done em .  Can any1 recommend a decent garage in Notts area, they seem to think that cuz your a girl you don't know what your on with.  Mite have to have a go at looking after her myself at this rate LOL. A complete newbie with my lovely mk1 but she's all orginal apart from wheels as far as I can see and fallen so much in love I just want to keep her pristeen.  Oh and can you point me in the right direction for asking some of you guys what to do bout her tappets rattling???? look wi your car, i reckon you should go complain in the strongest possible terms, quote the trading standards act at them, show them the damage theyve done and tell them to get it sorted or else your going to a soliciter, have you got any pics that u could use to prove your point, ie b4 the damage.
too many people dont complain, tis worth a try!
as far as workin on your car goes, thats the only way, get some tools sorted and then use here  as a resource, loads of people ready to help!!

Thanks.  Yeah looking forward to getting to know you all.  Already spoke to trading standards and they were dead helpful, sent me a letter template and a case no. so going to complain to the highest degree!!!! I'll try and get some more decent pics of her uploaded.  And hopefully if I can get her sorted going to Gaydon would like to travel with ya all, thanks again.

How can they let a car leave their workshop like that? If I were you I wouldnt have left the premises with the car untill they agreed to get it sorted. I do sympathise with you tho. I know how much agro you can get by being a lass as people automatically presume you dont know a thing. I get it all the time and I own a German Vehicle Specialists! Some people can be very naive about us ladeez!!    I'm based in Doncaster which isnt too far from you. If you need any work doing you can give me a call. Drop me a PM for my website address/number. Ive found in the past from a similar experience that once the garage in question has recieved a letter from yourself quoting the trading standards act, that they will be bending over backwards to help you out just to save their reputation (if they have one!).
