follow up to stutter k jetronic help
a friend of mine informed me that it sounds like the control pressure regulator. I replied it has been changed (even though it was not new)
apparently, if you drill the rear of the regulator you can gain access to and allen key adjuster.
I subsequently ran the engine with fuel pressure gauge fitted in series with metering head and regulator. pressure reading was 5 bar when cold which should be 1 bar and progress to 3.5 bar. I adjusted turning anticlockwise and although the pressure on gauge stayed the same my engine revs up very sweet in deed.
problem is I don't know what is happening here as I have fitted another regulator and it's back to stutter.
it doesn't make sense
the return from control pressure regulators feed back to a valve near primary system regulation on metering head before returning back to tank. I understand that when cold the warm regulator up is open to allow enriched fuel injection and then throttle in to 3.5 bar for normal conditions but this suggests errors somewhere.
anyone been here before
cheers
