engine conversion

howdy,
i have an '87 clipper cabrio which is now showing 173k on the clock! still going strong but am thinking about dropping in a lower mileage gti lump. probably a 1.8 16v. can anyone recommend a garage/mechanic in the edinburgh area who could do this if i sourced the donor car?
