bad garage experience

I'm really really sad, I bought a Mk1 cabriolet a year ago and was so chuffed with it.  I realised that a few things needed tweeking, so I set about finding a good garage.  I came accros one called 'big on V-dubs' a supposed specialist
Unfortunately the guy has absolutely butchered my car and has now got so many things wrong with it I dont want to drive it any more.  Im so gutted….
so if you live in london dont use this guy and can anyone recomend a decent garage in south east london who will put right what this monster has done.

The engine was very noisey - and tappetty so he suggested putting a reconditioned engine in had it six weeks now its over heating cant get it in gear, the cold start connector was left off and has melted, fan belt bolt just snapped off when trying to adjust it…. 5th injector was left unplugged used rubbish oil, speedo was left un connected

and the list goes on   :dontknow:

personnaly i think he took all the good parts off of mine and used them on someone elses 6weeks to change an engine

Your right an engine can be changed pretty quickly, certainly not 6 weeks! 8O  8O
I am assuming he has no interest in putting the problems right for you, as realy he should.

I don't know of any good places in London, as I am Leeds based. I am sure someone on here will though.

Must admit I don't use garages, well my daily and the wifes car are both new so they get oil and filter service when needed just to keep the service history happy, if any more work is ever needed, I get my spanners out!
All work on my rebuild is all done by me too.

Good luck, but all sounds like stuff thay should not be too hard to fix.
