Will a fuel filler neck from a D reg Golf fit H reg

As title, will the fuel filler neck out o a d reg golf cabby fit into a H reg cabby..

filler necks are the same only different is tintop and cabby

Ok thanks, it was just that I saw on ebay some filler necks for sale for cabrio's up to 84 so it got me thinking…

around 84/5 the fuel tank and neck changed on the cabby, pretty sure D reg is plenty late enough for the changeover

Thanks rubjonny, that's a real help, been given a d reg cabby, it's had a lot of the stuff stripped out but not the filler neck..  Gonna have a play and rob it blind for parts, well whats left anyway.. thanks again…

you'll soon see if it wont fit, the shape of the tank and filler neck is completly different
