Where to buy a standard exhaust?

Sportline GTI

Can anyone suggest a supplier for a standard exhaust for my late model Sportline GTI other than Eurocarparts or GSF?
Struggling to find any others and don't particularly want to go aftermarket.
Thanks

TPS - they supply OE VW but you need a trade account or someone that has access to one.

You can get the sound that u want.

Also the choice of tailpipes from standard to ridiculous.

I went for 3" inward rolled tailpipe iirc with mid sport sound which is raspy and louder than standard but u can get it much quieter.

I went for stainless as I'm keeping the car for yrs and it has a 10yr warranty and at £300 fitted custom made I thought it was well worth it.

Is that £300 for the center and rear box or complete system including exhaust manifold?

Not the manifold but I have heard too many stories about stainless manifolds cracking as they are not flexible enough, so it put me off.

I was going to do the manifold at first and change the engine mounts to poly but people were telling me that it causes too many rattles in the cabin etc.

As I'm a novice it put me off.

I'm delighted with my exhaust prob the best thing I've done.

Good to read about Longlife, I'm off to get a complete new system in the morning. A like for like copy only in stainless, no noise and a standard, straight, 50mm tailpipe. The only change was that i was thinking of reducing it's length by around 50-75mm and having it as a straight exit rather than the standard angle towards the left rear corner.

I got a straight exit on mine, the only little prob was it sits slightly lower because if the inner valance and outer big bumper as its obviously meant to be at an angle.

I am delighted with mine.

Heritage Vw (aka big boys toys) sell two OEM exhaust parts for 1.8 GTI.
The middle section and rear section are by ERNST ltd.
The front downpipe is by a Scandinavian company, can't remember the company name.

Just bought the whole lots from them.
Can't get the new downpipe to slip over the roll bar.
Have I got to dismount the anti roll bar to fit my new downpipe. The old came off easy cuz the bit that joins the middle section had rusted and broke off.

I've used http://www.leisureshack.co.uk for our Polos exhaust, they're a Bosal supplier and were much cheaper than anyone else I could find.
