starting problems?

i have a 82 gti and i need a cold start valve for it.

can anyone help me find out where i can get one!

ebay! all vw k-jet cold start valves are the same, mk1/2 golf/corrado 1.6/1.8 8v, 16v 1.8/2.0 etc

another think has happen to my mk1 gti. the fuel pump relay has burnt with the fuse welded to the relay.

has anyone got any idea as to what the problem its and how it can be resolved!

it could be down to age/poor quality part, or maybe there is a problem with the wiring/wur/fuel pump which is making them draw more current than they should! does the pump make a nasty loud buzzy noise?

also, check the fuse box pin for tyhe fuel pump, chances are its burnt out a common problem on the old fusebox. vw issued a recall on these to move the relay above the fusebox
