Starting issue

My car won't start wen parked facing uphill I've changed fuel pump 3-4 months ago and the accumalator yesterday it's a 1.8 8v gti any ideas thanks rick

try the non-return valve in the pump next, has the fuel tank ever been changed and if so was it a proper gti tank with a swirl pot? have a look inside the tank:

I've not changed owt with the tank but got fed up and got the AA out they reckon the problem was a dodgy relay I've now changed that and seeing how it goes thanks for you're advice I will try that next cheers rick
