standard back box will it cause problems?

hi all
i have i 1.8 8v cab i have a full system on my car from manifold but the noise is getting to me, i was thinkin of puttuing a standard back box on will this cause problems as i'm running hi lift cams too?any suggests please

what system do you have on there now? if it's an after market sports system, then it depends on the bore size and where the joints are as to how easy it would be to put a standard back box on. another option is to look at a different system. supersprint, jetex and magnex are not loud systems
