Please help! Petrol everywhere!
AAARRRGH! theres petrol all over the back seats!
I have had the black cap off from under the seat (the one with 3 screws that covers the petrol tank) and looked at the tank. i replaced both the fuel pipes and clamped them up and theres still fuel under the rear seats leaking from somewhere, but im mystified. I cant work out where its comin from and the whole car reeks of fuel.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Blimey - never heard that before. Is it a Gti ? Only thing I can think of is major back pressure blowing fuel through the sender seal and into the car :dontknow: None of the fuel lines go near the interior of the car. I'd replace sender unit seal then take off plastic liner inside drivers rear arch and check breather pipework is OK, no holes in filler neck, etc :dontknow:
A strange one that…………..
Good luck !

You must have done something really bad to get fuel inside the car!?!?!?
Did you replace the cover with the three screws? If not and the return pipe has sprung a leak/popped off, then this could be soaking the underside of the seat?!?
You would see fuel dripping under the car too I would have thought.

thanks all.
The problem was, the idiot who had the car before me DRILLED through the fuel tank to screw in his sub
sealed it up with a screw and some gasket seal. hopefully it will be a race car soon so a fuel cell is on the cards.
