why not buy a weber carb instead?! ive got one with the adaptor plate ive rbuilt it at work and i only want 100 for it! will only require a T piece for a vacuum! and way better than pierburg!!

to be honest if i could have found this before i bought the weber i would have used it, I know its a fair bit of money but for originality's sake and the fact that the pierburg isnt as s***t as everyone says it is it surely must be worth a go.

And youd be a pioneer for the mk1 and mk2 owners too!

sent off for recon should be back next week he says it will be as good as new.

Used this chap for my Pierburg and it was brilliant. I have had this car for 4 years but I'd now got high revs and been to 3 specialist VW garages including a Main agent and none could sort out. He sorted it and gave me the better acceleration option. I got it back within the week, was spotless and with decent fitting instructions. Car now goes better than ever.

        JUST GOT BACK OFF MY HOLS AND CARB WAS SENT TO NEXT DOOR AS ARRANGED,  LOOKS LIKE BRAND NEW COMES WITH FULL FITTING INSTRUCTIONS IE IT TELL YOU TO LEAVE THE ELCTRIC CHOKE LEAD OFF AND THE THERMO VALVE LEAD ALSO OFF SO THE CHOKE HAS TO WORK ON THE WATER HEATING SIDE FIRST.ANYWAY AS SOON AS PETROL GOT TO THE CARB IT BURST INTO LIVE ,VERY SMOOTH AND WORKED VERY WELL ON THE WATER SIDE OF THE CHOKE,WARMED UP THEN PLUGGED CHOKE AND THERMO VALVE BACK IN.
                                                                              
ALL IN ALL THE ENGINE NOW IS VERY SMOOTH AND SHOULD RETURN AROUND 37MPH
  IF YOUR CARB IS PLAYING UP PLEASE USE THIS BLOKE HE KNOWS HIS STUFF.
