Petrol Leak

Hi guys,

Ive just come back from holiday and the mk1 golf gti campaign has been standing for a couple of months. Ive charged the battery and tried starting the car.

Unfortunately, its not starting and as soon as i turn the key, all the petrol starts to leak from the rear of the car onto the drive.

Anyone experienced the same problem and is it a easy fix..???

the leak must be after the Fuel Pump other wise it would  continually leak

its probably not a easyfix
the Fuel system  pressure is approx 5bar & any repair has to be done right - eg fitting new fuel pipes,washers,connections etc

you have
in order
fuel tank to fuel pump pipe
fuel pump to accumulator pipe
fuel accumumulator to supply line pipe
fuel return line to tank pipe
crazyquiff does them all

hoplefully you wont need a fuel pump bracket or fuel accum bracket as well

i have just replaced all of the above on my mk1 , wasnt going to go down the route of lots of jubilee clips & fuel pipe repairs
