Personally I would go for standard, but a friend of mine has just had a supersprint system fitted to his Gti and it does sound quite good: More of an enhancement than just loud.

After seeing the price of the S/S I think I will go with the standard from GSF it?s only ?59.00 plus a few bits and bobs   need a new rad too!   I need some serious restoration. But its all good I think as the wife has named the car tonight on the way to Chester!! :shhh:  Is this normal to for cars to have names?

Hi Ste - I'd go for a standard exhaust unless you are planning any major engine mods (engine swaps) in future, in which case I'd try and get hold of a secondhand Supersprint system. I used to have this system on my old Mk1 16v and it was excellent, not too loud but just loud enough if you know what I mean?

Standard ones last very well and they fit spot on unlike some aftermarket ones. Give me a shout if you need any help :D

Also, I might have a spare radiator you can have, I think it's from a Mk2 actually but it may well fit, calll and have a look if you want.  :D
