Noisey fuel pump

The fuel pump on my '84 cabriolet is making a very loud buzzing noise, is this normal & are the pumps servicable or is there something else that could cause it?

Very common mate, mine's quite noisy and I've never seen one that isn't. Might be worth finding out if it's serviceable but might be just a replace jobbie.

Anyone know?

Thanks, i have recently replaced the hood so my car is a lot quieter than it used to be so the pump may of been noisey for a while but because of the wind noise due to the old poor hood i had not noticed!

it's a sealed unit, so replacement only
