Need a fuel pump for my 1991 Clipper Cabby 1.8 HELP!!!!!

Hi,
I'm at my wits end now guys! Hopefully someone can help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The fuel pump has packed up on my cliper cab. No problem I thought………………. unbolted the old pump and took myself off to my local spares centre.
No problem the guy said, whipping a book of parts out from under the counter.

He ordered me the pump which matched my age and model of engine (EX model) and said it would be in later that afternoon.
Sure enough the pump came in and I went and picked it up.
Upon fitting it became apparent that it was the wrong pump!   :(

The leaver which sits on the crank and is pushed up and down by it is too low down!
Compared to my old pump the leaver on the new one sits a good 8-10mm lower on it's pivet pin.

Took the pump back and showed the guy the difference between the two.
He then looked in his book again and ordered me another pump listing.
Same again!! The actuator arm is too low. He then ordered a third pump but guess what……………… the arm is also too low. :banghead:

Can someone please tell me what part I actually need!!  :dontknow:
My REG is H716OEE

I still have mine bolted to the block.

It's not needed and looks stupid! Any good to you?

My car is the same year clipper.

Failing that, try the local stealership

Projekt Frustration :

White 1991 Clipper. Lowered over polished zender rims, Single 40 dellorto on lynx manifold, kent cam, full stainless 'zorst / manifold, powerflex bushed and braced. Not the fastest car, but sounds super nice!

Still going after 12 years… never said it was a quick fix! Time is not my friend.
