mk1 golf filler neck j reg 1991

hi there i was wondering if any body can help? my old filler neck has rusted and need to replace it with a new one, vw price is around ?150 but they are on back order since last november. gsf dont do them any more for the later cabs, but i was wondering if the early ones might fit or just a normal mk1 will fit? please help...............
