Kr exhaust help and advice needed please!

Help with exhaust for kr engine please
I have just fitted a kr in my tin top and with the engine came
The manifold down pipe. All fitted now however there is a gap of about
Two feet between the manifold and my old mk1 exhaust. Is there
An easy solution? The manifold had the diamond shape fixing on the end?
Is it a flexi pipe job? Any help appreciated many thanks.

do you mean it has liek a 3 bolt flat flange fitting? if so you need a pipe to go from there to the rest of the exhaust. if it doesnt have a flexi joint on the downpipe anywhere you'll need to fit one of those as well. can you get pics?

Have a little look around the site, there's a good 16V FAQ section somewhere. It will explain some of the various options for a conversion manifold. I suspect the manifold downpipe you've fitted is the Mk2 item, you'd need to weld/fabricate/adapt that to the Mk1. Due to its location, its probably better just to go for a conversion manifold off the shelf.
