Kangaroo fuel

Hi I changed the fuel tank over a month ago and had no problems, the last few days when I accerate it starts jumping like its stalling, it doesn't stall and it doesn't do it all the time. Does anyone have any advice or similar issues. I am guessing some old rust has worked its way up but not sure.

cheers

What engine/setup have you got will help with suggestions from others in the know. Try fuel filter or cleaning carb etc.

If you have a compressor blow through lines but make sure both ends are removed from everything

lift pump or strainer might be blocked, look under the rear seat and you'll see a big black disc, remove that and theres the in-tank pump/level sensor. it twists out, shine a torch into the tank to check for rusticles and debris, then check the filter on the end of the pump.  Also if the filler neck is rusty swap it asap and give the tank a good clean out.

My gof sometimes does the same if I let the fuel get low as there's probably crap in the tank. Try keeping the tank more full and see if that cures it.

i have the same issues!!! i have checked the fuel tank, it looks clean, but unlike the pics of the fuel tanks ive seen i dont have a filter type thing visible when you look in, i have replaced the fuel filter, more investigation is needed!! grrrrrr i think ill fill it up full and see if that makes a difference.

Dpends on model whats in the tank, myns a 1.8 carb 1988 and so doesnt have a filter per say just a tube with strainer holes at the bottom. If its had fuel supply issues before someone may have got rid of the strainer. If you post model and year I am sure someone will know what that sender unit should have, perhaps even a pic..
