I think i have put brake fluid in to the Radiator top up bottle.

I've never heard of that one before , if you haven't run the engine drain the bottle as the oil will be on top of the water. If you have run the engine then drop off radiator bottom hose and refill with water, run it, then drop the water again. You might get away with it, I'm not sure how the brake fluid reacts with any rubber 'o' rings in the water system, though brake fluid doesn't damage the rubber seals in the brake system so maybe it will all work out O.K

I've never heard of that either, so I have no practical foundation for the following advice. I have a theoretical one, what with having a degree in Chemical Engineering:
Brake fluid has a high boiling point and is miscible with water. So I'd just leave it in there. The quantity you added compared to the total quantity of coolant, won't be an issue regarding the other desirable physical properties of coolant, ie specific heat capacity, wetness, boiling point, freezing point.
