GT1 8v fuel accumulator problems

Reposting this in the correct section:

Car is an '85 GTi cabby (Kjet system). My MOT tester has found a tiny leak from a small machine screw in the end of the fuel accumulator(positioned next to the fuel pump near the fuel tank).Tightening the screw hasnt stopped the leak.Local VW agent says theyre no longer available.Local parts supplier is asking £92 plus VAT.Does anyone know if this can be fixed or if not if there is an alternative.Or if anyone has a secondhand one?
TIA
Mick

Sorry to bring up an old subject but what is this screw? Is it a bleed screw or something? Can it be taken out or once it has been out is it then gubbed? Could it no just be resealed using thread lock if it was leaking?

I have looked a bit more into what is inside the acumulator and how it works. It seems to basically be a diaphram and if fuel was to be coming out the screw then the diaphram must be holed.

I assume then that if it was not holed then the screw could be taken in and put back in without any issues as long as it kept the chamber in the accumulator air tight.
