Golf Cabrio...Cutting out.
Hi Peeps,
Hoping someone can help me ,
My F plate Mk1 Golf Carbrio keeps cutting out on me.
When the engine is cold it will run for about 20 mins then cut out.
Then the fun begins , it will start for 1-5 mins and cut out again and again.
Any one have any ideas what the problem could be?
Thanks,
Jez

i had the same problem with my mk4, turned out there was a slight blockage in the fuel line. cleared the lines and no problems ever since.

Thanks mate, i will give that a go.
I have been told a quite a few things that could be wrong.
Just wanted to check if anyone else had the same problem and what it could be.
Saves me having to check everything.
I have already checked the fuses/relay's

yea it seems the fuel lines are the best place to start - this is the near exact same thing that happened with mine so my dad replaced all of them, the were totally knackered.
Also, its worth changing the distributor cap, points, and oil etc, as this is also what my dad did at the same time
