Fuel pump leak???

over the last 5 or 6 days my gti has started hesitating a lot. idling lumpy and very unresponsive
after arriving at work this morning i had a closer investigation and managed to smell petrol around the fuel pump area.
hopefully its something simple.
please help

Sounds just like my car

I have a puddle on the drive of an oil type substance where my car has been as well

If you find anything please let me know!

check the fuel tank!
check the two pipes connected to the accumulator below the filler pipe(rear driver wheel wel)
check the fuel pump connections
 and all fuel lines!
