Fuel pipes for mk1 cab fuel filler neck

Hi
I hope someone can help me I ordered a fuel pipe from big boys toys for my mk1 cab thinking it would be a straight fit  - but sad to say when it arrived today it is not like my original one on my car it is missing a swallow bend at the end there it would collect to the rubber pipe that collects to the fuel pipe.
Please a can someone let me know if they have had the same problem or how to resolve this problem.

i got a stainless one from CQ's.. it cost a lot but it was a straight fit and gave no problems whatsoever

You had more luck than me then with CQ then, mine had to be "redesigned" by an exhaust company because it didnt even nearly fit, bloody nightmare!

did you get the stainless one or the 'normal' one?

The stainless one...not cheap!

I think it was just the luck of the draw, someone one here had warned me about some people having problems with the fitment on these, and some fit perfect......I spoke to CQ and they did offer to replace, but it was already booked into a garage a few days later so didnt have the time to swap........

no not cheap, strange as mine fitted no problems
