Fuel lines

Hi,
Im replacing the fuel lines on my 79 Gti, front to rear.Ive replaced a set before on one of my other mk1's a few years back and cant remember how i did them?
Im not sure wether to put a swirl in from the accumulator or just run it straight through to the front of the car(if that makes sense).
Any advice anyone please!

Forgot to say that im using new flexi nylon high pressure diesel lines, as they are easier to fit and adjust!!

Although the original pipe has a SWIRL in it i dont see that it does anything and would just run it straight.

how you get on with these new diesel lines? as i need to do mine and if thats going to be easier i'll get them! also what size you go for?
