Fuel Line Hose

I am looking at replacing all the Fuel Line Hose & the fuel filter on my 1.8 Cab. Can I just buy a length of hose from a Motor Factors or do I need to buy the item from VW?

Also if anyone has done this before & would like to give me some advice on how best to go about it I would appreciate it.

Cheers Rob.

depends if you want to keep it stock or not

personally I'd go braided pipe all through  8)

either way Crazyquiff here has both I believe (definately for tin top anyway)… think he's still on holiday at the moment… not too sure

haven't done the job myself yet but should be a peice of cake

Yep, try crazy for the bits. Don't go for the plain rubber fuel hose - whilst you'd think it would work, a previous owner fitted this to mine and where thre pipe bends around the fuel pump it split and leaked fuel everywhere!

Quick fix at time was to replace with same but that's started to crack now too which is why I'm doing mine soon too!

PS - Phil - not seen you about lately, good to see you back!

Cheers lads - all good advice as usual.
I will go for the braided pipes - the rubber fuel hose that are currently on are starting to perish.

I was intending to get in touch with Crazyquiff anyway (found his site for the 1st time yesterday!) about a vent kit for my dash.

Thanks Rob

Hi Phil, keep your eyes peeled, I hope you'll see the start of my BLOG in a couple of weeks.

A very kind mate is lending me his MIG, just need to get my rear panel off crazy and then I think I'm about ready to start.

MOT is due 1st August so want to get most done by then PLUS I really want it to be driveable for Gaydon. Fingers crossed!
