Fuel Leak Pipe!
Hi all, I have very little experience with cars, and took my Mk1 golf to the garage today as it has a fuel leak. The upshot was that the pipe under the car was beyond repair (he said disintegrated ) and needs to be replaced, however they can't source the part. I was then told to source a pipe for them, about *holds hands just over a foot apart* wide, and that was all the information they would give me! I know this is very vague, but so were the garage, can anybody help with what it is i'm after?!
Thanks !
Thanks !

I had a friend do it, You can get the pipe from ebay but you will also need a flaring tool if you dont have one. You can get a flaring kit for about £10 it wont be the best thing in the world but for the odd use wont matter. pipe bender will only be about £5 its all brake pipe stuff so look for that.

For brake pipe sized pipe and fittings (3/16" and M10x1) any car parts store should be able to supply it, since its a very widely used (ie almost a standard) size. For non-standard stuff, the best I've found is Automec, although there are plenty of other smaller suppliers out there.
