Fuel filler rubber hose

I need a new rubber pipe that goes between the fuel tank and the filler pipe but struggling to find one.

Anyone one know the best place to get one? Or easiest to just get some normal hose?

Get normal hose with same inside diameter and cut to suit, just make sure it's fuel resistant and shouldn't be a problem.

Try egay or the likes of pirtek etc.

gsf do this, and the clips for it

I had a look on gsf website, couldn't find the hose on there, only the filler neck and tank.
Also couldn't find 16v scirocco handbrake cables on there which I need.

I'll have to give them a ring

Does anybody know the internal dia ? as I'd like to pick a piece up before I cut mine off.

bugger doesnt look like they do it anymore, or the cables.

fuel hose can get from VW:
n 901 196 01, 40x5x165 - 11.64

handbrake cable is NLA from vw but part number is 533609721, available from vw classic parts for £21 each:

when i was doing research into other cables that might fit, the 88 on mk2 cables were slightly shorter, and mk4 or was it beetle? cables were a bit longer. not sure if the mk4 cables will fit the handbrake lever but i think they're similar lever to late mk2 and mk3. were some polo ones which may work too, give me a sec to recheck everything.

cables sorted by length, cant garauntee they'll all fit! not 100% on rocco cable length but I know it was somewhere between the mk2 post-88 and the polo ones:

I bought a length of hose (fuel resistant-Goodyear I think?) to do
Mine that fits well. It is a slightly smaller diameter but is a snug fit.

Not as crap as the 2 clips I got from GSF they both snapped :roll:

But the rubber hose was fine
