Exhaust Manifold c clips

hay

i have 1.8 golf mk1 cabrio 1986.

 i changed my exhaust manifold for a new one. in my old one someone probably drill 2 holes and put 2 long screws and 2 springs.

acording to Exhaust Diagrams i saw 2 clips that hold the manifold and the exhaust together.

do i must drill and put screws or use c clips?
