exhaust manifod

hello does eneyone no eneything about heat tape which you can use for manifolds and if so what the heat tape is like if its rubbish or ok

If you have a 4 to 1 manifold then heat tape is a must really, as it will cook your steering wheel knuckle gaitor eventually, I didn't bother putting any on my cab a few years ago, and it ended up letting water in to my steering rack wihich knackered it in the end.

I've used some on my Qpeng downpipe for my 20v conversion, and found that the metal cable ties you get supplied dont grip the pipe very well, so I would suggest that if you use some, to wrap it with wirelocking to stop it unraveling.

thank for info ive just taken of the manifold it was a bit of a pig to get it of again but it is just peace of mind to no that it is going to be ok  ive all so tryed the metal strap which you can get for heat rap stuff and i found that they were crap this was on a diffrent car i used them on . how about normal pipe claps would they work i dont see why not.
