I have a near concours Campaign which as of yesterday decided that it fancies a new exhaust (or at least a section of it) by singing not so sweet murmers from the centre section, so………. my my dilemma is whether to replace it as I did last time round with a standard steel exhaust or whether I should go stainless steel, the latter looks better but is obviously not an original part.
Thoughts please.

Personally if it is mint and councourse I would go with original. Might not sound as nice but keeps it original.
Just my opinion of course.

Personally, I'd go for a stainless version matched to the original design/bore/hangers etc. I don't think it would ever detract and can only be seen as an improvement.

When I last replaced the whole system around 8 years ago i'm sure i got it done at the local 'exhaust' centre. It may have just been a stock steel jobby though.
The more i weigh this scenario up the more i'm tending towards stanless. Trouble is i don't want a chavvy performance one, just a sensible stainless replscement for the benefit of its longevitiy.

They claim to do classic replica stainless systems, which would be ideal.
