Engine cuts out when turning left?!
Strangest thing now happens, whenever I turn LEFT the revs drop and the engine actually cuts out.
It doesn't have to be a fast or sharp turn, any time the wheel is turned more than a quarter turn to the left the engine cuts out and splutters back to life when I steer it back to the right.
Anyone got any clues?

That sounds plausable A5OPY as it sometimes just splutters as if theres no fuel but I'd just put in seconds earlier and the gauge is just under half.
Googled a bit and some other sites are suggesting water in the tank?
Wish I knew a bit more about the gti engine or I'd be tinkering and trying to diagnose it myself

its happening when turning right now too, I'm thinking pump or perhaps sh*te in the tank since its been sitting for 6months.
Think its worth changing filters etc? Might get some of that redex stuff to clean out the system - see if that helps.

Redex is useless in this scenario, and I don't think it does any good on anything else as it happens, so save your money.
Yep, agree with rubjonny the pump is probably knackered by now too, so that will need changing as well as the filters.
But the main thing is, to clean out the fuel system thoroughly so it doesn't happen again.
