Drainage Plug

Hi All

I have a 1.8 kjet J plate Clipper and cant seem to find the drainage plug?

The filler neck is rotten and I have taken this off but the tank is full of rust! does anyone no were abouts it will be, its a metal tank if any help also how hard is it to take off?

I think this is the main cause for the engine not running. I have cleaned the ijectors, new plugs, filters checked that the fuel is coming through but will only running rough for a few sec's but if left for a while it will some times let me rev it once or twice?

Am of the thinking now that a complete clean is needed in all the lines, I have put a new pump on also but am going to clean the lot and replace the filler neck. Any ideas on wot else to do would be great.

Thanks Again

there isnt one dude, ideally you need to remove the tank to clean it out properly. should remove the lift pump and the plastic reservoir, clean them out as well. check the inlet side of the fuel pump some have a mesh basket there to catch debris. then flush all the fuel lines through as well as the ones to the engine bay, and also the fuel accumulator if you can.

if rust got past the filter into the metering head its probably game over for that, they have extremely fine tolerances inside so die if any crud gets in. obv change the filter for a new one while you're there
