cracked s/s magnex 4 branch

cracked s/s magnex 4 branch

I am getting an uprated engine put in soon, the 4 branch has a small crack in it, shall i replace with a standard manifold or fix it? it has a full s/s system (magnex) will i need any other parts of the exhaust if i replace the 4 branch with a standard manifold :dontknow:

I would keep it and try welding it first . Mig weld will do fine on stainless [but will rust ]  then if it goes again replace with a standard item .

if you call a fabrication place out of the phonebook most will be happy to help and not take the pi$$ by charging the earth then you can get it welded up properly

when i had a magnex 4 branch on my old 8v engine it cracked where the original weld was… i got the mechanic to weld it again and it was fine after that..

the reason why it cracked in the 1st place is because the spring flexi-joint doesnt give the flex that is needed in a car that fast!  chop it out and fit a stainless steel braided flexi joint and it will never crack again!

powerflow sell these but dont think they are stainless!
